21 members of Team Sysmex Malaysia raised a total of RM 37,000 or JPY 1,000,000 for the Shelter MKCC (Mount Kinabalu Charity Climb) in conjunction with Sysmex Corporation 50th Anniversary celebration theme of Gratitude and Challenge. The cheque presentation ceremony held at Shelter Home for Abused Children on September 28, 2018 concludes the 3 months of challenges the team of Sysmex Malaysia climbers faced to conquer the highest mountain in South East Asia and brings a deep sense of gratitude for the support to raise funds for the Shelter children.

The presentation ceremony started with SMA Managing Director, Albert Tan giving an overview of the Team Sysmex MKCC endeavor and how it is aligned to the Gratitude and Challenge theme. He then describes the journey from our 3 months training to the final two days of grueling journey to reach Mount Kinabalu’s peak at 4,095m and the trials and tribulation experienced by all the climbers

After the cheque was presented, Mr Vincent Pee, the Chairman of Shelter Home expressed his appreciation to the SMA team for the overwhelming response to participate in the MKCC challenge. Sysmex’s donation will enable Shelter Home to continue its educational and therapeutic programs for the traumatised children. Many thanks to all donors from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia for making their kind donations and support to raise the JPY 1,000,000.
