CSR Activity

Xin chào!! And chào mừng to Vietnam! SMA recently organized a Teambuilding trip to happening Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Hạ Long Bay, Vietnam to gain new experiences and adventures.

The highlight of the trip was spending a night on a cruise ship, which sail in the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hạ Long Bay. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes, and emerald waters. We visited the one of the floating village, and a limestone cave exploration, which most of us are so inspired to have our photo contest pictures taken there. Awakening to a beautiful sunrise from our bed, we also enjoyed a mind refreshing Taiichi class on board the cruise to kick start our day.

The journey also took us to Ninh Binh province to visit Trang An and Phủ Vườn Thiên (Phu Thien Garden), also known as the temple of Prince Le Long Thau, and have a boat ride to cruise along the river and limestone cave

Another highlight of the trip is visiting one of the social protection center (orphanage and old folks home) near Hanoi, which provides shelter, food and education to orphans, abandoned elders or beggars in Vietnam. As our part of our Greener Sysmex CSR, we donated a water dispensing system and satellite television to the centers, in addition to distributing snacks and drinks to the energetic children and kind elders.

Other memorable experience includes visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, where we saw a lot of young ladies to pray for success in their exams, and Hoan Kiem Lake with the legend of Emperor Le Loi returning the magic sword of Heaven’s Will. Nowadays it is closed to motorized traffic on weekends to allow walking, jogging, street dancing and cycling activities around the lake.

This was a rejuvenating trip for all of us. We enjoyed the exotic sceneries, fresh air and delicious foods. Without a doubt, it had relaxed our minds and get us ready to work together as an excellent team to overcome all our challenges!! Tam Biet!!!
