Ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Sysmex’s new manufacturing base in India
Sysmex India Private Limited added another milestone in India with the groundbreaking ceremony at our new facilities in Sanad II, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The ground breaking ceremony took place at a very opportune time as we were seeking to exit the COVID-19 pandemic globally.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries from Sysmex Corporation; Iwane Matsui (Member of the Managing Board and Senior Executive Officer, Senior Managing Director), Mitsuhisa Kanagawa (Executive Officer, Instrument Production and SCM), Kinya Uchihashi (Executive Officer, Executive Vice President of Reagent Production), Koki Tajima (Vice President, Corporate Business Planning ), Satoru Oto (Vice President Business Administration and Planning, Sysmex Asia Pacific) apart from the Managing Director of Sysmex India, Anil Prabhakaran.
The ceremony was also attended by senior dignitaries from our Project Construction partner Takenaka and JETRO (Japan external trade organization) as well as officers from local authorities.
In anticipation of increased demand for testing in India’s high-growth market, Sysmex has decided to construct this new manufacturing base in order to ensure a stable supply of products in the medium- to long-term through maintenance and expansion of the existing manufacturing structure. It will have the manufacturing capacity and scalability to allow for rapidly increasing demand and an expanded product line-up in the future. It is also planned to enable manufacturing of some devices and to have a parts procurement function. Key concepts include high quality, high efficiency manufacturing, and environmental considerations such as the installation of a zero liquid discharge system aiming to eliminate water discharge outside the factory site.
