The CS-1600 system combines the reliable, proven mechanics of the former CA-1500 model with the advanced CS-series technology in a compact analyser. It is ideal for mid-sized laboratories requiring an easy-to-use, cap-piercing analyser capable of running clotting, chromogenic, and immunologic assays simultaneously.

Fully automated haemostasis benchtop analyser offering high functionality in an easy-to-use and compact size model. It features multi-wavelength technology with three different detection technologies: clotting, chromogenic and immunological (turbidimetric).

Using novel technologies, the CS-1600 system assures laboratories of consistent accuracy and reliability in their testing results. In addition, there are various high-end functionalities aimed at helping Medical Technologists improve their efficiency and providing extra support to laboratory accreditation requirements and documentation.

Consistent accuracy and reliability

  • Sysmex proprietary multi-wavelength analysis technology automatically uses optimal wavelength for each measurement parameter to reduce effects of interfering substances on the absorbance spectra or in specific sample conditions such as low fibrinogen level or severe lipaemia to deliver accurate result on every test run.
  • Primary sample volume is checked before analysis. Results are flagged if incorrect anticoagulant to blood sample ratio is suspected to ensure only reliable results are reported by laboratories.

Operational efficiency

  • Intuitive cap-piercing technology on the CS-1600 system allows mix of capped and uncapped tubes and cups on the same rack and reduces sample processing time.
  • STAT sample can be analysed as priority by executing either sample or rack interruption for greater efficiency.
  • Onboard reagent status information provides an alert to Medical Technologist to add or replace any reagent based on the remaining volume or number of tests level. When the reagent onboard stability time has passed, Medical Technologist will also be alerted via an audio alarm.
  • After routine analyser shut-down, an automatic wake-up function will wake the machine for the new day’s routine so Medical Technologists can start work almost immediately once they arrive at the laboratory. Handover lists can be generated to facilitate a smooth handover for shift changes.
  • The CS-1600 System automatically take cares of the data preservation for laboratories by performing auto backup function at scheduled timings or at before routine shutdown.

Support laboratory accreditation requirements and documentation

  • Traceability info/operation log allow laboratories to trace the measurement results and the related information such as the reagent lot number, calibration curve used in testing, and the most recent date and time of QC measurement. The operation log provides audit trail of the operation, maintenance history and any setting changes in the system.
