On 29 October 2011 – As part of Greener Sysmex CSR project, 17 Sysmex Malaysia staff sacrificed a Saturday morning on Oct 29, to visit and bring cheers to 46 senior citizens at the Rumah Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity Home) located in Pulau Meranti, Puchong.

Rumah Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity Home) is a non-profit organisation founded by Mrs. Muji since 2003 which provide home shelter to 46 elderly people (21 Male & 25 Female) from ages 50-80s’. Mrs Muji who used to be a chief nurse at Hospital Serdang, took up the courage to open this shelter home for the elderly almost 9 years ago and her passion and strong determination drove her to take on the challenges.

The programme began at 11.00am with a welcome speech and briefing about Rumah Al-Ikhlas by the founder, Mrs.Muji. After the briefing and Q&A session, we mingled around with the senior citizens at Rumah Al-Ikhlas. At 12 noon, we had our lunch together with the old folks and the caretakers. Some of Sysmex staff were given the opportunity to feed the old folks who are unable to feed themselves.

Our presence on that day brought much happiness to the senior citizens who are always looking forward for someone to visit them and spend time listening to them.

The event has been very meaningful to Sysmex employees as it help us make a difference to the old folks home. The organizing committee would like to thank our fellow colleagues for their generous donations ie. foods, groceries, toiletries and adult diapers. This event demonstrated the Sysmex Way values of teamwork, passion and flexibility of SMA employees who are committed to make this Greener Sysmex CSR event a great success.
