CSR Activity

In conjunction with KL City Week, the Greener Sysmex team of 30 staff sacrificed their Friday evening to distribute food & recycled clothing to almost 1,000 homeless poor in Kuala Lumpur. Many thanks to Dato Munirah, the founder of Pertiwi Soup Kitchen who agreed to this collaboration with Sysmex Malaysia and other organizations such as Kechara Soup Kitchen, Food Aid Foundation and Gardenia Bread.

This augurs well with the spirit of the coming Chinese New Year and represents the Greener Sysmex Committee initiative to encourage the habit of giving back to the society and giving a treat to the underprivilege community.

Food distributed includes biscuits, waffles, bread, beverages and mandarin oranges, while recycled clothes and shoes was given away amidst a celebrity, Chef Zam and his team who were busy preparing meals at Pusat Gelendangan Medan Tuanku.

SMA staffs were divided into different group, taking care of different food stations. There were mandarin oranges station, drinks station, dry food station, clothes station, packing station etc. There were also 6 staffs that were assigned to be runners of the night which their main tasks are to bring kids below age of 5 to collect their food from different station. Sysmex treat bags were given out to the less fortunate on that night at two different location – Lorong Medan Tuanku 2 as well as Anjung Singgah YKN Kuala Lumpur.

It was a night of teamwork for the Greener Sysmex squad who participated in this event with remarkable sharing and meaningful caring for the underprivileged.
