Covid-19 outbreaks has significantly affected our life today. It has affected public health seriously and the economy critically. During the pandemic, face mask has become an essential part of our routine to protect ourselves. This leads to increase financial burden for low income population. Therefore, SMA Greener Sysmex committee initiated a Masks and Hand Sanitizers care pack donation to assist the lower income families in the vicinity of SMA office.

SMA collaborated with Lions Club of Subang Jaya and donated Masks and Hand Sanitizers care pack to 420 families staying at the PJS7/15 low cost flats in Bandar Sunway. The theme of the donation is “Stay Safe”, as SMA hopes that everyone can stay safe and survive this difficult time together. While only 4 SMA staffs were allowed to attend the donation ceremony due to physical distancing requirement, the other staff participated in earlier team effort to pack the sanitizers and masks into individual packs.

This Greener Sysmex project fulfilled our objective to help the less fortunate and ease their financial burden, especially during this difficult time. We believe that the more capable you are, the more responsibility to contribute back to society. Let us fight the Covid-19 virus together!
